Rice Cereal, Take Two!

We've had a few more attempts at rice cereal since our first try, but today something really seemed to click. Caedmon got really excited - he was opening his mouth wide and "helping" me with the spoon. His little legs were kicking the whole time, and several times the rice went flying all over us when he hit or grabbed my hand with his. It was a mess, but he was so cute!

It's been a big week...Caedmon has also learned how to roll from his back to his tummy. We know he can go the other way, because we've seen him do it...but he seems to be resisting it now. When we put him on his tummy, he'll prop up and look around until he gets tired, then starts getting upset. He doesn't seem to try to roll anymore. But when he's on his back and sees something interesting - he stretches his arms toward it until he's rolled over! It's very exciting and fun, but then he gets tired, and realizes he's "stuck" on his front. So it will be good when he can go both ways easily!

We've also started doing what I can only imagine would be a "pterodactyl call." It's a loud, shrill kind of shout that we sometimes hear when our little guy is hungry or tired, but sometimes I think it's just because it's new and fun. Sometimes it also sounds like an angry cat. In any case, it definitely gets our attention!
